What a wonderful day we had on Sunday! Bailey Garrett and Ellie Cotton have publicly professed Jesus as Savior of their lives. Each of them came forward on Sunday to present themselves unto the Lord and His Church and will be baptized Sunday if possible. I ask that everyone pray for these young girls as they seek to grow in their faith!
SPRINGTIME: I enjoy this time of year when we begin to see the new life coming forth from the trees, grass, flowers and other things of nature. It is evidence of God's handiwork in creation. As the buds break forth, they give beauty and remind us of the new life God gives to us!! How many times, year after year, does God bring to us “new life”. He renews our hope, our strength, and our faith.
As this Spring comes upon us, I pray each of us will allow the Lord to instill a new spirit, a new passion, a new sense of wonder at all that God has done and is doing! May other people see in us what we all see in the new life that springs forth around us.
One thing that also happens from this time is the trees and plants that produce new fruit. As the new life springs forth in you, may there be new fruit brought forth also. May the Lord use you and me in greater ways this year!!
REVIVAL: Will you be ready for God to do something new and exciting in your life this year? As we turn our thoughts toward April and the scheduled meetings we call “revival”, I pray for God to show us how to prepare our hearts for what He wants to do. In my heart, I long for more and more of God's power and presence to be poured out on me. Not for me only, but for His Church, our congregation!! I know God can do something great in us, but I know it can only happen if we are willing to let Him work in us!!
